August 2018

August flew by
We spent a lot of time in the mountains
Brennen got his cameras up and was surprised to get a few deer after only a couple days

Brennen and Grandpa and Grandma did a trail run the first week in wyoming
The kids and I tagged along and had some fun too
They saw some beautiful scenery

We took a little hike to intermittent falls and it was fun and a great hike for the kids

Apparently Sister Godderidge was breaking the rules
or someone hacked her account because Brennen got a notice that she was on.

Park Fun

Bedtime can be rough with these too
They don't like to do it
One of them is usually crying
and most of the time I want to cry too because I am so tired
and just want the to cooperate
We ended with smiles this night,
Probably because there was an oreo shake involved

They always come lay on the floor after they tub or shower and try to get warm.

When Foster wakes up in the night I usually let him lay on pillows next to Collins bed
When I woke up one morning I found them like this
Collins falls off her bed at least a few times a night
apparently she didn't wake up when she landed right on Foster

We got a few more days of boating in before there was no more water

and a few more snow cones

We went to Dennis' tree and put a couple little birds

Hiking to the cameras
and to scout for deer
Brennen wants to go a lot
He let us tag along..... once

Brennen worked a few rodeos this month
Secretly I think he wants to be a cowboy
He loves to dress up and pretend anyways
and he likes to look at himself when he does

Collins whipped up her banana's and sprinkles again- she eats them and it keeps her occupied for a few minutes

Splash pad
Hazel and Collins were warming up by laying on there towels
and then each other

Collins of course didnt stay on the bed at the cabin and wound up in the crevice in-between the railing and the mattress. We spent a couple weekends up there and had a great time!

Scootering in the rain

I looked out the window and foster had grabbed the flag and was waving it back and forth while saying the pledge of allegiance... I wish I could have filmed him without me seeing, it was classic

Whitli joined us for our last boating outing
She even rode the tube!

Collins like to take photo's I delete thousands each  month because she takes do many at once by holding the button down, very rarely do they actually have anything in them. But this time I think she figured it out.

Sleeping with one eye opened

Oh my we have out hands full with these three

Reyah got a grasshopper on her shirt and didn't know it we kept telling her to look and when she looked down it was where she couldn't see
Foster started school
Kindergarten
He was pretty excited the first week
Then the excitement wore off
then second week there was a good 20 minute breakdown and refusal to go (it's too long and boring)
after threatening to take away his scooter and his bike he said he would go
Then the next day he went into class with tears in his eyes
Needless to say I was a bit worried the next twelve years were going to be rough
But he has done great since no complaining and seems to enjoy it

We got some frosting from Roy
Collins wanted to open it before we even left
I said no we will open it when we get home
it's two blocks
Next thing I know I smell chocolate
and she has opened it and just helped herself with her fingers

Summer was good to us and it was hard to see it go
but we like seasons and change (for the most part)
so bring on school, and cooler temps!
