Surprise! We had a BABY!
Its a GIRL!
She arrived and not without effort and drama off course
We just can't have a baby without some fun and excitement
They started me at about 7:30 on Dec 7th.
It was slow go.........
Epidural went in but didn't work I could feel pretty much everything
Lots of back labor, once I was ready to push I was exhausted at nauseated and barfing so that was fun!
We got her head out, but then her shoulders got stuck and they had to push on my stomach and pull her shoulders out, and as a result she broke her clavicle coming out, but she made her entrance into this world at 5:43 and was 7 lbs 6 oz.
Lainee J Reese
Her name comes from my grandma Elaine, she was an amazing person who was selfless and humble and served others diligently. She was strong, but silent and worked very hard to raise a family in the gospel. I hope I can tell Lainee enough about her that she will want to emulate her. Her middle initial comes from both grandma's Janice and Julie- who are amazing women as well, whom I hope Lainee can learn from as she grows and spends time with them. There is a lot in a name and I hope all my kids can understand the importance of family and honoring there names with the choices.
This is the only picture I have of my belly this time around, we have kept is a secret from Bayli while she has been serving her mission in Canada, we pick her up at the airport this Friday, man will she be surprised.
Baby's Oxygen kept dropping so I had to wear this fun mask for 6 hours, I think it was part of the nausea problem and the fact that I was starving...
Brennen did just fine watching hunting shows

Her face was bruised from the trauma of the delivery
She was very alert the first couple hours of her life
In total shock I guess
They were so excited
Another baby that doesn't like her back, she rolled to her side every time we tried
Meeting her Daddy!
Lots of visitors and lots of love....
We got to go home, but we are at high risk for jaundice and she didn't pass her hearing test.
And I don't think she could hear real well, she wasn't easily startled,
she can hear just fine now and went back two weeks later to have her ears tested again and she passed! Yay
And we ended up on the lights for 5 days
lots of foot pricks
and not enough cuddling
she had to be on them 24 hours except for feedings
It was so much fun!

After she was cleared on her jaundice, we attempted our own newborn photo shoot!
NO real great ones but I think I got enough to make a book and some prints for the room!
At her two week visit she only weighed 7 lbs 1oz so we had to go back a week later to make sure she was gaining enough weight and she was, but she already has had a cold, and a little flu bug and of course she has to have tummy issues, so we aren't getting alot of rest but trying to figure her out!
